Donations are stopped
We appreciate the support previous donators have made to this project. However, considering the number of donations and total amount gathered, we have found it difficult to really make something out of it. If we take into account the time and effort it requires us to "handle" those donations, it doesn't make sense to keep doing it. Some of you voted on a previous X post in favor of this previous donations being used to gift top contributors. This wish will be respected, we're working on something special, a nice token of appreciation for the people that wrote quality content.
From now on, the best way to support The Hacker Recipes is by contributing directly: writing and submitting pull requests, helping review existing PRs, and any help that'd come to mind. For companies, buying ads is still a thing for now.
Of course, this decision wasn't easy to make. We tried ads, we tried donations, and ads are not helping enough. The project currently has no way to sustain itself besides having people contribute on it 100% for free and Internet points.
